Wild wild North

My life 350 km north of the Arctic circle

About me

On Kvaløya, the 'Whale Island'.

I grew up in Germany, but my heart has always belonged to the North. After some moving around, I fell in love with Tromsø in northern Norway at first sight and spontaneously decided to stay. Now I’ve been living in a cabin by the sea since summer 2010. I make some money showing people around this awesome place as a tour guide, and volunteer for a better world. Sometimes I freelance as a writer, editor or translator. I like dark chocolate, Bright Eyes, and plants. I don’t like describing myself in few words. If you’d like to contact me, feel free to comment somewhere here, or: mail at ulrikeheinrich dot com.
